Our Firemen’s Success

Firemen of Paks Nuclear Power Plant Fire Service won again the county contest of fire brigades in Dombóvár. According to one of their trainers, Rajmund Pesztericz, preparations started early in April. Initially, the training took only one day a week while, in the week of the contest, ours worked hard and concentrated on the competition all the time. And they really scored a success, winning the team competition.

Firemen competed and did their best in 4x100 relay run, 800 l/s small engine mounting and 100 m obstacle course run. Professional firemen of Paks came in second. Rajmund Pesztericz recalled that firemen of Paks Nuclear Power Plant Fire Service won the county contest every time in the last ten years. In addition to our team victory, Tamás Szabó scored gold in single 100 m run and Szilárd Papp took the bronze medal.
