Firefighters’ Visit to Nuclear Power Plant of Paks

Representatives of the Fire and Disaster Prevention Association of Baranya County and its Croatian partner organization paid a visit to PA Zrt. and Nuclear Power Plant Fire Service on 12 February 2008. Our guests were taken to PA Information and Visitor Centre, and then they took the route for visitors with stops throughout the Plant site. Fire & Technical Rescue Head István Schreiner welcomed the group of professional visitors and delivered a lecture on Plant firefighters’ duties and the methods of getting prepared.

Questions raised by the visitors during the lecture showed interest for issues such as fighting fires of live equipment, quality management, alpine techniques and psychical training. Following the lecture, our guests from Baranya County and Croatia visited the fire station, engines and equipment. Before leaving, they spoke highly of the good work done by Plant Fire Service management.
