Firemen in Contest
The challenge cup has been won by the team of the Nuclear Power Plant

Despite the rain the voluntary-, junior- and students’ fire-fighting competition of county level was hold in Gyönk yesterday. On the first day of the two days’ program the professional firemen of the county compared their knowledge.

The supernal ones were not out of regard for the common program of the county directorate of catastrophe protection and the county association of firemen, the voluntary firemen’s competition. On the first day of the two days’ competition four teams – professional firemen of Szekszárd, Paks, Dombóvár Municipalities and the Nuclear Power Plant – compared their knowledge. In the relay race of 100 meters four times the team of the power plant came into the first place, the team from Paks was the second the one from Szekszárd was the third and the one from Dombóvár was the fourth. (In each team ten firemen participated in it.) The same order was formed in the further events as well, so after mounting the small-powered fire-engine of 800 litre/min, the 100 meters’ course with obstacles, too.
In the individual competitions the order in the 100 meters’ course with obstacles: first was János Máté fireman company sergeant major (Szekszárd), the second was István Juhász fireman sergeant-major (Paks), the third was Tamás Szabó (Nuclear Power Plant). The challenge cup of Tolna County Directorate of Catastrophe Protection was won by the team of Paks Nuclear Power Plant. Today, on Saturday, the voluntary and junior firemen are competing with each other.
