St. Florian's Day Rewards
St. Florian’s Day is the greatest festival for fire-fighters since this festival is about them and their sacrificial work and where the work of fire-fighters who show outstanding performance is recognized on the occasion of this festival denominated by the name of their patron saint, St. Florian. We are pleased to report that the work of several members of the Nuclear Power Plant Fire Service staff were honoured and rewarded.
At the county festival held in Nagydorog on 28 April the Fire Fighter Association of Tolna County, in recognition of their prominent work performed for the purposes of fire protection and fire service, awarded
a Medal of Honour to Ferenc Bán Appliance Commander,
a Ring of Honour to László Szénási Appliance Commander, and
an ornament to Zsolt Lesták driver.
At the county festival, national rewards were also handed over whereby the Hungarian Fire Fighter Association, in recognition of his 25-year successful life-work in fire service, awarded
a Medal of Service to Péter Bőhm Péter Fire Commander.
Fire-fighters were greeted also in Szentendre on 3 May. At this event Mónika Lamperth Minister of Municipalities and Regional Development, in recognition of his service of exemplarily high standard, promoted
Péter Bőhm Fire Major to lieutenant colonel out of turn.
We congratulate to the rewarded fire-fighters and wish them health and much success in their work!
