The Paks Team Finished in the First Places in Csopak

The Nuclear Power Plant Fire Service finished in the third place at the national ambulance contest held in Csopak. The contest with decade-old traditions was an international competition for the second time and the Paks team entered for it on the second occasion. Rajmund Pesztericz ambulance nurse, a member of the contest team said that the ambulance service had been operating at their station since 2005. Last year they finished in the fourth place and this year a place before, which is a particularly amazing result because most of the 15-16 contestants are full-time ambulance-men. Each year there is a prominent topic of which scientific lectures are held in the first day of the contest and which gives the topic of majority of the tasks. This year these topics were tocology and infant-care. In addition, there were classic rescue tasks, such as revivification and accident related attendance. The team took the third place in a very close competition since they had lagged behind the team at the first place only by one hundred scores while almost two thousand scores could be collected. The members of the bronze medal team: Dr. Gábor Szvitán ambulance doctor, Rajmund Pesztericz, István Suplitz and Ferenc Bán ambulance nurses.

Rajmund Pesztericz said that they had prepared themselves usually locally, at the fire service station, but they had spent two days also at the ambulance station in Pécs where Dr. Gábor Szvitán and his colleagues had assisted them in preparation.
