St. Florian Day Acknowledgements

This year too, a major celebration was held to mark the day of St. Florian, the patron of firefighters, and commemorate the firemen’s dedication and hard work. On the occasion of the high day, the best firefighters received an acknowledgement. At the county celebration held in Nagymányok on 2 May, seven of the staff of the Nuclear Power Plant Fire Service got their due reward.

Celebrating his 60th birthday, Mr. Lajos Zelei received a prize and a cup of honour from the Mayor’s Office of Paks as an acknowledgement of his 30-year career as an active firefighter.
The Hungarian Firefighter Association granted Mr. József Adorján a ring of honour, Mr. Sándor Bese a memorial plaque, Mr. Attila Kruller an ornamental article and Mrs. Károlyné Vida a coin of honour.

Mr. József Gál and Mr. Géza Sipter received 20 years Service Medals.
