Assistance At Twin Birth
NPP Fire Service Came Up to the Mark Hands Down Among Very Good Middle Ranks

Paks-Csopak

An ambulance team of Paks NPP Fire Service gained success at the competition jointly organized by National Ambulance Service and Hungarian Ambulance and Paramedic Association. 24 teams of mostly active National Ambulance Service staff members entered for the professional contest, with one team from Csíkszereda (Miercurea Ciuc), Romania to make the competition an international event.

The teams of three had to complete an obstacle course with 10 stations, including challenges like the delivery of twins, with the second newborn baby showing no signs of life, or the provision of medical care to a wasp-stung tourist who doesn’t speak Hungarian.

As a team representing NPP Fire Service, ambulance officer Zoltán Varga, ambulance nurse László Szénási and driver Zoltán Szabó finished 5th place in a very strong field. Their performance was repeatedly praised at the announcement of the contest results. In co-operation with professional medical provider Nukleo Med Kft., NPP Fire Service has been providing emergency care and ambulance services at the Nuclear Power Plant since 2005.
